miSci

Today was the first of 3 visits from miSci to Friday For Kids. Gabyriela Gastelum-Reynoso, science communicator led the investigation in the case of a missing microscope. The kids identified fingerprints (and types), DNA and used chromatography to match a suspect. Our next program will be “Surviving on the Moon” on April 8th. These visits are funded by a grant through the Columbia County Libraries Association. And. The miSci Labratory Explorers program series is supported with federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds allocated to the New York State Library by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and administered by Southeastern New York Library Resources Council.
