We were able to purchase this book, and others of all reading levels thanks to the Fund for Columbia County of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. We also now have a subscription to Sierra Club magazine.
Leanna O’Grady (Mud Creek Environmental Learning Center) described and mapped migratory birds for us a few weeks ago. Sometimes the tracked birds went round and round in circles. Can you guess why?
This week Leanne taught us about Owls. Did you know that even a baby owl can swallow a mouse whole? She brought us owl pellets which we were able dissect, then inspect the tiny bones.
