Winter Reading: Cork O’Connor series

One of the best things about the nasty weather is it forces us to slow down and enjoy some much deserved reading. We here at the library are enjoying the Corcoran O’Connor series by William Kent Kruger. These books take place in the hills, mountains and lakes surrounding Aurora, Minnesota. The descriptions are wonderfully moving. Cort is part Irish, part Anishinaabe Indian and the former sheriff of Aurora, Minnesota – population 3,752. I enjoy the blending of native american life and beliefs: the mystery in us all. Iron Lake is the first in the series. While you don’t have to read them in order, I do. In 2022 William Kent Kruger released Fox Creek the 19th in the series.
