Buying and Selling on the Internet

Wednesday January 12, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Interested in learning how to sell online? Maureen Gardner will guide you through the steps from creating a listing to shipping along with best practices and helpful advice. Items for sale can include clothing, collectibles, jewelry, furniture, or practically anything with the expanded marketing potential of eBay, Facebook Marketplace and more.

Maureen Gardner has a 35-year career in retail as the co-owner of an outdoor recreational business. While working with the North Chatham United Methodist Clothing Barn, Maureen realized some of the donations could reach a larger audience and higher return when sold online. With the expansion into online sales the Clothing Barn has been able to generate more income and assist four local food banks, a free medical clinic in Albany, women’s shelters, after school programs, and now their own small food pantry.

To register for this free one-hour program, email [email protected] for a Zoom link. For more information, please call 518-766-3211.

Hosted by the Library’s Enriching Life, Increasing Knowledge (ELIK) committee, this program is supported in part by a grant from the Fund for Columbia County of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation as well as funding from the Bank of Greene County. The Library is grateful for this support.
