Fishing with the Family

Enjoy fun, family fishing on Sutherland Pond at Ooms Conservation Area. Instruction and fishing poles are provided by Jenifer Rosete, of Columbia County Land Conservation fame. Rubber boots are highly recommended.

Here’s a suggestion! Make a day of it; bring a picnic lunch, hike the trails or try out the Nature Quest program that focuses on pond life. Borrow the “Ponds & Stream” Backpack complete with nets, books and sampling tray from the NCFL to enhance the experience.
