Know Before You Grow

Hannah W.E. Coppola is the Invasive Species Outreach Educator of the Capital Region Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (CR PRISM) which is hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension and funded by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. Attendees will learn about plants and insects which have become invasive. Once an infestation is established, invasive species can damage forests, destroy wildlife habitat and take over fields and wetlands. They can also cause human health problems by providing an increase in deer tick population. If you garden, spend time outside in your yard or just enjoy nature you will not want to miss this program.

Registration deadline Tuesday, March 15 at 5:00 pm

Register for this program by email at [email protected].

Via Zoom (presently). If infection rates are lowering this program will be held in person at the Malden Bridge Community Center. For more information call the NCFL at 518-766-3211.

This program is hosted by the Library’s Enriching Life Increasing Knowledge (ELIK) Committee. Supported in part by a grant from the Fund for Columbia County of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation as well as funding from the Bank of Greene County.
