The informational meeting will be in the garden under a canopy. Registration is not required.

NNCC is grassroots 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization designed to help network people within our rural communities as they address issues of aging and/or living alone. It serves the towns of Austerlitz, Canaan, Chatham, Ghent, Kinderhook, New Lebanon and Stuyvesant and seniors near the borders of these towns.

The session is for area seniors, people who might want to join as volunteers and family and friends of seniors. There is no obligation to join if you attend.

Content will include a description of NNCC, why it is needed, how it works, how members use each other for transportation needs, simple handyperson services including gardening, social supports, pet care and other needed services as feasible. NNCC also offers varied social and educational events. Members are welcome to enjoy monthly coffee klatches, walks and hikes, game days and educational presentations.

There will be an additional session at the Chatham Library on August 2 at 10:00am.

For more information and/or NNCC, call (518) 392 0191 (not the library) or email [email protected] or check out its website nncc1.org.
