Fish and Float

NCFL is excited to partner with Columbia Land Conservancy to offer a family friendly afternoon of fishing and floating on Sutherland Pond. This event will be hosted as a drop-in from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with kayaks, fishing poles, and gear available to borrow for the afternoon.

Never fished before? There will be plenty of opportunities to learn the basics and get tips from seasoned volunteers!

This event will include a .1 mile walk from the parking lot down to Sutherland Pond. The terrain will include walking over grass and boardwalk. Please note that sections of the boardwalk may still be closed due to construction.

Please bring a water bottle, weather appropriate clothing and footwear, and sunscreen. If you have fishing gear, poles, or a kayak at home, please bring them! If not, CLC will have supplies to borrow. Social, leashed dogs are welcome, but please bring bags for waste.

Registration recommended.

Plan to fish all season?

This is a fishing clinic, which means that participants will not need a fishing license at this event. If you hope to fish all season long, apply for your fishing permit.
